£20 supermarket fizz beats some big brands that cost nearly twice as much
Waitrose & Partners Brut Champagne was scored 80% by our panel of wine experts. Piper Heidsieck (£33) and Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label (£35) were the other two bubblies deemed brilliant enough to be named Which? Best Buys – both scored 81%. The cheapest champagne we tasted this year came from Lidl. The Lidl Comte de Senneval Brut NV (£11.50) scored a commendable 77%.
